I don't know about the browser you are using, but in Firefox you can choose in the program's options whether scripts shall be able to resize the browser window or not.

And I hate dislike Flash.

I am kind of oldschool when it comes to webdesign. You have to ask yourself: Do I really need to use animations to make clear what I want?

In the above example you need to use Flash (even though an automatic resize of the viewport is not necessary) but many other website would look better with plain and simple HTML. I use the internet for information and pr0n and I go to an art exhibit to see… art.


To open up this discussion (the question wether Flash is good or evil isn't something I would call a solid basis for a small talk):
Have you ever been to London and if so, did you enjoy your stay?

I do not agree you.
Websites do not only transport information, but also pictures and emotions. For each request there is a suitable medium. For example I find extensive picture galleries with flash better solved, also product pages witch meditate and should sell emotions. Flash is an great technique for the future of web. Cross-Browser compatibly and also ever more accessible for search engines and 508 requests of the w3c. Flash is not as bad as a lot of the oldschool-dudes wana tell us
