o, I've talked to a few people about my problem - thinking its just related to me being stupid with some configuration, considering I tweak the crap out of my hardware. The first email came last week, after posting this problem, which simply said its related to ram and not having enough - which was "backed-up" by Apple Support. This seems to me to be completely bogus. I can't see an Apple rep from the AppleCare department, saying "Oh ya, that's related to not having enough ram." My direct answer for something like that would be, "Well, then I get a free upgrade to 1GB, right?!".
The non-universal binary programs that run under Rosetta are starting to creep in on my physical mem. space, which means I'm GOING to upgrade to 2GBs of ram, but this STILL isn't the answer.
I'm starting to believe I have one of two things - a defective video card or bad ram. The email from above, was directed towards the amount of ram, not of it being bad/defective. If you've built computers, or had enough computer stuff around for a period of time, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
This really sucks, because since hocking all of my computer stuff to afford this MacBook, I don't really want to deal with lending them my computer for 1 to 2 weeks - which generally is their period of repair. They simply send these out to Apple in Cali. vs. fixing them on spot. I know this, because unless the Apple tech you are dealing with at the Apple Store is certified in laptop repair (unusual in non-big-city stores), then they have to send it out. Not happy, but we'll see how things work out. Maybe when I order my 2GBs of mem. it'll fix itself. Its not a HUGE urgent thing right now, but while I'm under AppleCare, I'z got to do, what I'z got to do.
