Apple hat am Donnerstag die eine Milliarde-Marke bei den verkaufen iPhones überschritten. Tim Cook gab diese Neuigkeit auf einem Team-Meeting in der Firmenzentrale bekannt.
Apple hatte gestern seine Quartalszahlen bekanntgegeben. Die eine Milliarde verkaufte iOS-Devices-Marke (also iPods, iPads und iPhones zusammengerechnet) wurde bereits im Januar 2015 erreicht. Im Januar 2016 gab Apple bekannt, dass es über eine Milliarde aktive Geräte im Markt gäbe. (Macs, Apple TV und iDevices).
“iPhone has become one of the most important, world-changing and successful products in history. It’s become more than a constant companion. iPhone is truly an essential part of our daily life and enables much of what we do throughout the day,” said Cook. “Last week we passed another major milestone when we sold the billionth iPhone. We never set out to make the most, but we’ve always set out to make the best products that make a difference. Thank you to everyone at Apple for helping change the world every day.” (Tim Cook)
Apple wird in diesem Jahr ein neues iPhone, mutmaßlich ein neues iPad pro und sehr wahrscheinlich auch neue Macs vorstellen. Bisher wird die Woche ab dem 5. September als möglicher Termin gehandelt.
