Safari wird immer unbrauchbarer

Hallo zusammen,
seit Jahren habe ich gerne und fast ausschließlich Safari benutzt - sowohl unter MacOS, iOs und iPadOS. Seit gut einem Jahr passiert es zunehmend, das manche Seiten nicht richtig funktionieren. Und damit meine ich nicht irgendwelche kleinen Homepages sondern große Online-Druckereien (z.B. der Uploadbereich), meine Hausbank (Fehler beim Anmelden), Paypal (Abbruch des Bezahlvorgangs), eine Schulungsseite (Abspielen der Videos), WordPress (Übernahme der Änderungen), Registrationsformular, Online-Shops usw. usf.. Den im andern Thread beschriebenen Fehler bei YouTube kann ich mangels Nutzung von YT im Browser nicht bewerten.

Manchmal sind die Fehler nach einem Neustart weg, mal geht am nächsten Tag und am übernächsten dann wieder nicht. IMMER geht es jedoch in Firefox. Meinen Kollegen in der Webprogrammierung schwillt beim Wort Safari schon der Hals. Ich habe die nahtlose Integration über alles Devices hinweg immer sehr geschätzt und den Umzug mit allen Lesezeichen und der Leseliste etc. gescheut, aber das werde ich jetzt wohl in Angriff nehmen müssen. Firefox gibt es ja auch für alle Devices und die Einstellungen, Favoriten etc. lassen sich auch synchronisieren.

Ja, ich habe mehrere Browser auf jedem Gerät. Aber ich habe keine Lust mehr, herumzuprobieren, ob die Webseite wirklich zickt und nicht funktioniert oder ob es mal wieder Safari ist, der mucksch ist.

1. Safari läuft mit den Standardeinstellungen. Kann ich das besser konfigurieren, damit die Seiten wieder besser laufen?
2. Ist Firefox die beste Alternative?

1x Mac mini M1 Monterey (Versionensnummern kann ich erst morgen nachschauen) und 1x Mac mini Ventura 13.0.1 Safari 16.1, jeweils alles mit den aktuellsten Updates.Das Problem schleppt sich seit Bug Sur so durch alles Updates mit.

Unter iOS benutzte ich den Browser nur sporadisch, untr iPadOS habe ich auch Schwierigkeiten mit machen Shop- ode Registrations-Seiten. Da fehlen manchmal Buttons oder Eingabefelder. Alles aber nicht os massiv wie unter MacOS.

Das ist jetzt ausser Safari auch der Browser, den ich immer weider mal benutzt habe. Edge, Chrome, Aloha nur in homöopathischen Dosen.

entschuldige, aber ich komme wirklich rum - *das* kann ich so nicht bestätigen.
Es gibt zwar mal Webseiten, die irgendwelche Darstellungs-Bugs haben, die auch funktionale Auswirkungen haben, aber das würde ich in den Promille-Bereich verloten und das ist bei Safari nicht höher als bei anderen Browsern. Erinnert sich noch jemand an den Internet Explorer 6? Überhaupt kein Vergleich (ja, ich meine das eher so, dass "optimized for IE6" dabei stand und dann mit Firefox, Navigator, Opera usw. nicht mehr ging).

Von dem her, was Du beschreibst, hast Du eher ein ganz anderes Problem.

Das will ich ja gern glauben und hoffen, das daraus ein Lösungsansatz entsteht (Die iOS und iPadOS Devices können dabei gern aussen vor bleiben). Es mag ja auch sein, das ausgerechnet die Seite einer der größten deutschen Online-Druckereien, die Seite der Sparkasse und 1-2 handvoll der Seiten, die ich wöchentlich so ansteuere, mit Safari einfach ein Problem haben. Leider muss ich diese Seiten aber dauerund benutzen. Und leider tritt der Fehler nicht so grundsätzlich, das ich es auf den Mac, Safari oder die Programmierung der Webseite schieben könnte. Die einzige Konstante ist: Wenn der Fehler Auftritt, dann nur im Safari. Öfnne ich die Seite im Firefox und mache das gleiche, was ich im Safari machen wollte, geht es. Ich wäre ja froh, wenn ich "nur" irgendwo ein Häkchen setzen müsste und sagen könnte "Cool - wieder was gelernt. Jetzt geht es wieder."

Die beiden Mac sind hardwareseitig identisch, die Unterschiede liegen im OS (Monterey/Ventura aktuellste Versionen) und in der installierten Software: Adobe CC komplett / Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop. Schriften, Tools und Helferlein sind auf beiden Macs unterschiedlich. Und da der eine private, der andere geschäftlich ist, tauschen die beiden auch nichts aus.

Tendentiell tritt das alles unter Monterey - auf dem Arbeits-Mac - häufiger auf als auf dem privaten Ventura-Mac. Den privaten Mac habe ich von Big Sur über Monterey auf Ventura geupdatetd. Den Arbeits-Mac sauber mit Monterey neu installiert. Auf dem iMac Late 2013, den ich auf der Arbeit vorher hatte, lief Safari aber auch nicht besser.

Ich habe auch nach Plug-Ins etc. geschaut. Das einzige, was immer installiert ist, ist Enpass. Sonst läuft privat noch Devonthink. Also habe ich Enpass mal für 14 Tage entfernt. Keine Änderung.

Nachdem ich heute auf einer Webseite eines Ausbildungsinstitutes lernen wollte, und die Videos im Safari nicht liefen aber im Firefox normal abgespielt wurden, ist mir der Kragen geplatzt. Ich denke ja immer erstmal, ich habe irgendwo was falsch gemacht, daneben geklickt oder so. Dann versuche ich den Fehler zu finden, starte Safari und den Mac neu nur um dann festzustellen - im Firefox geht’s mal wieder gleich.

Das Problem schleppt sich seit Bug Sur so durch alles Updates mit.

Das klingt für mich, als ob da irgendetwas anderes dazwischenfunkt.
Hast du Erweiterungen installiert, die vielleicht nicht mehr aktuell sind?

Edit meint: okay, hat sich wohl überschnitten, also keine Erweiterungen.
Was hat Devonthink mit Safari zu tun?

Keines deiner Probleme kann ich hier bei mir, macOS, iOS und iPadOS nachvollziehen.

Kann Safari eigentlich auch nur loben. Die geschilderten Sachen passen nicht zu meinen Erfahrungen - auch die Sparkasse klappt, Wordpress sowieso.

Und dass den Kollegen aus der Webentwicklung der Hals schwillt bei Safari: Unverständlich… Was haben die früher gemacht - z.B. zu Zeiten vom Internet Explorer 6? Da musste noch für verschiedene Browser und teils deren Versionen angepasstes CSS verwendet werden. Mittlerweile ist das schon einfacher geworden.

Das habe ich auf beiden Mac schon gemacht. Einmal für einen Kollegen, der ab und an auch daran arbeitet und zu Hause hat meine Frau seit ein paar Monaten ihren eigenen User nachdem Sie das alte weiße Macbook endgültig in Rente geschickt hat. Auch mit den neuen User bleibt es bei den Problemen.

Leider kann ich mit dem Daten nichts anfangen. Hier kann dazu auch keiner Helfen.

Jedoch ist auch mein Safari eher unbrauchbar. wie oft da die Seiten auch mal hängen. Dann muss ich erst mal wieder Safari neu starten.

Erweiterungen habe ich nicht installiert. Und das hatte ich auch schon auf meinen alten MBP und auf dem letztes Jahr neu gekauften und neu aufgesetzten iMac hat sich daran auch nichts geändert.

Ich habe ja keinen Mac, aber unter iOS und iPadOS hatte ich auch schon massive Probleme mit Safari. So zum Beispiel bei dem einen oder anderen Online-Shop, wenn es um das Bezahlen ging. Und da ich in meinem Smart Home viel mit dem ioBroker mache, sind mir die dortigen Einschränkungen unter Safari extrem aufgefallen. Der ioBroker ist halt für Chrome optimiert und da geht dann die eine oder andere Sache unter Safari einfach nicht. Ähnlich ist es teilweise bei der Web-Oberfläche meiner HomeMatic. Dort allerdings nicht ganz so dramatisch. Auch die Installation eines anderen Browsers unter iOS bzw. iPadOS hat nichts genützt, weil alle auf der Safari-Engine aufsetzen. Anders unter Windows. Da nutze ich ausschließlich Firefox und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Da funktioniert im Grunde genommen alles, wie erwartet.

Aber Safari hat auch seine Vorzüge. Die Bedienung gefällt mir sehr gut und ich muss mir nahezu keine Gedanken über Viren machen.

Ich habe auch seit neusten Probleme mit der Geschwindigkeit beim Laden einer Seite und manchmal funktionieren die Links nicht. Z.b wenn ich ein Bild angezeigt bekomme und dann mittels "Besuchen" auf die Seite wechseln möchte. Nachdem ich Safari neu gestartet habe, geht's auch mit dem Link.
Am Anfang war Safari sehr schnell und ich bin ansonsten sehr zufrieden.
