Probleme mit HDD an Airport Extreme 5G & Time Machine

Hallo,

Habe seit geraumer Zeit einen Airport Extreme und habe diesen bis vor einer Woche lediglich als WLAN Accesspoint benutzt.

Nun hatte ich eine 1TB Platte "übrig" - rein in ein USB Gehäuse damit, an den Airport angestöpselt und Time Machine auf meinem Mini 2012 aktiviert.

Das erste Backup dauerte wie zu erwarten lang, aber es wurde ohne Macken abgeschlossen. Time Machine lief dann wie erwartet Reibungslos.....
Nach 3 Tagen fing es dann an: im 24-30 Stunden Rhythmus bleibt Time Machine bei "Backup wird vorbereitet" hängen, an der Festplatte leuchtet die rote Aktivitäts-LED dauerhaft (nicht wie sonst wenn Sie liest oder schreibt mit einem unregelmäßigem Flackern).
Wenn dem so ist muss ich die Festplatte aus- und wieder einschalten - Backup abbrechen und neu starten hilft nicht, die Festplatte ist dann auch über den Finder nicht ansprechbar.

Nachdem ich Sie aus- und wieder eingeschalten habe funktioniert alles wieder normale für 24-30 Stunden.

Irgendwelche Ideen woran es hier hapern könnte??

Hm… Seltsame Geschichte. Was sagt denn die Konsole, wenn es zu dem Ausfall kommt? In der Konsole mal nachsehen was es für Einträge um die Uhrzeit des Fehlers/Ereignisses gibt ("Alle Meldungen" im linken Teil des Fensters markieren!).

Passiert sonst irgendetwas bevor es zu diesem Verhalten kommt? Abbruch WLAN-Verbindung, Programmstarts, etc.

Was das unvollständige Backup angeht, kann ich leider nicht weiterhelfen. Alles was ich aus der Konsole rauslesen kann ist das der Mac die Verbindung zum Volume verliert, aber ich kenne mich zu wenig aus, um den Grund ablesen zu können.

Aber du hast eine Handvoll Launch Daemons und Agents, die nicht geladen werden (können), die also mit "failed" oder "not loaded" hier in deiner EtreCheck Liste erscheinen.

Es lohnt sich wahrscheinlich im Sinne der allgemeinen Performance deines Macs mal auf die Suche zu gehen, was das jeweils ist, ob die dazugehörigen Programme aktuell und/oder kompatibel zu 10.9. sind oder ob sie gar ganz entfernt werden können. Das Gleiche gilt auch für die Logitech-Treiber, etc.

Lt. Apple wird diese Kombination ( USB-Laufwerk an AirPort Extreme für Time Machine Backups) nicht unterstützt. Aus eigener Erfahrung würde ich mich auch nicht auf solche Backups verlassen.

@mihi Mir geht es wie doc_holleday. Als eines der problematischen System Launch Daemons fiel mir wdhelper auf. Keine Ahnung ob es damit etwas zu tun haben könnte. Bin auf das hier gestossen.
