Noch ein langsames MacBook Pro

Hallo an alle,

bei mir geht es um unser Arbeits-MacBook Pro.

Das ist von 2012, wurde wohl in 2014 mit einem Glas Wasser geflutet und ging danach in eine Apple Werkstatt zur Reparatur. Seit dem ist er aber immer langsamer geworden und mittlerweile ist es so schlimm geworden, dass ich es als Arbeitsbehinderung empfinde. (Daher ein bisschen gegoogelt, euch gefunden, und meinen Chef um Erlaubnis gebeten, mich an euch zu wenden.)

Wir haben auch gar nicht so hohe Anforderungen, womit das MacBook arbeiten soll, aber wenn ich mehr als 30 Sekunden brauche, damit Numbers aufgeht, wird es nervig.

Es wäre super, wenn ihr mal über unseren EtreCheck drüber gucken könntet, ob es irgendwelche Softwareprobleme gibt, oder ob eventuell doch die Hardware nach der Dusche einen nachhaltigen Knacks bekommen hat, wenn es nicht an der Software liegt.

Das Gerät hat zu wenig RAM für die Aufgaben, die ihm zur Last gelegt werden.

Ein grundsätzliches Problem dieser Modelle: aufgescheuerte SATA-Kabel. Im EtreCheck-Ergebnisfenster hat es einen Knopf für "Show SMART Status". Klick den mal und poste dessen Ausgabe.

Das dürfte wohl eine sterbende Festplatte werden.... Ich nutze das gleiche Gerät, allerdings mit neuem SATA-Kabel, SSD Samsung Evo840 und 8GB RAM. Rennt prima, sowohl unter 10.11 als auch mit 10.12
Also ein wenig Geld aus der Firmenkasse in das Book investieren dann hat man noch länger was davon! Zumal HighSierra vor der Tür steht und neue Betriebssysteme definitiv Speicher- und Geschwindigkeitshungrig sind.....

Edit: Eventuell mit CoconutBattery mal den Akku checken, wenn man das Gerät ein mal offen hat, wirkt der neue Akku auch (kleine) Wunder und das Book ist viele Stunden ohne Kabel am Start.

Danke für eure Antworten. Mein Chef hat gestern in einem Anflug von extremer Genervtheit sämtliche Office Programme vom Mac geschmissen und siehe da es läuft erheblich schneller. Noch nicht perfekt, aber besser.

Das mit dem bald kommenden Update werde ich meinem Chef mitteilen, er hatte aber auch schon selber mit einer neuen Festplatte geliebäugelt.

Da das Gerät mit Sicherheit abgeschrieben sein wird, würde ich mir an der Stelle des Chefs mal überlegen, das Gerät (für in der Regel sehr gutes Geld) zu verkaufen und dann in ein neues Gerät mit SSD, mehr RAM und Garantieerweiterung auf die übliche Nutzungsdauer von drei Jahren zu investieren. Das macht betriebswirtschaftlich gesehen sicher mehr Sinn.
