MbP: Häufiger Beachball nach Sturz -> Festplatte?

Hallo Zusammen,

mir ist mein MbP 13" 8Gb, 2,5 i5, 500Gb Hdd, aus ca. 1m Höhe auf die linke obere Ecke gefallen. Das Display ist eingedellt, das MbP funktioniert soweit aber ganz gut.
Ich habe die Festplatte überprüft, es wurden Fehler gefunden, diese konnten aber über das Wiederherstellungstool wieder repariert werden. Der Apple Hardwaretest hat keine Fehler gefunden. Diverse Resets wurden durchgeführt.
Beim Betrieb habe ich jetzt relativ häufig bei Standardanwendungen (Mail / Safari, etc) den Beachball.
Kann es sein, dass meine Festplatte etwas abgekriegt hat und sie die Ursache für die Beachballs ist?

Grund für meine Frage ist folgender:
Ich will unabhängig von dem Bachball Problem eine SSD in das MbB einbauen. Dann wäre es egal, wenn nur die Festplatte etwas abgekriegt hat. Wenn aber weitere Hardwaredefekte vorliegen, würde ich nur ungern in eine SSD für ein defektes Mb investieren...

Hast du eine externe Platte, notfalls einen großen USB-Stick? Dort OS X installieren und die wichtigsten Programme (oder wenigstens mal einige) und von dort starten und testen, was passiert. Funktioniert alles, war's die Platte. Stürzt weiter alles ab, war sie's nicht (oder nicht alleine). Natürlich müssen die verwendeten Daten am besten auch auf dem externen Startmedium liegen, obwohl das Risiko wohl eher bei Schreib- und Lesezugriffen auf Libraries, Swap et cetera liegt.
Sagt denn die Konsole irgendetwas, wenn der Beachball rotiert?
Außer Mikrorissen in Leiterbahnen kann natürlich auch einfach eine Steckverbindung locker sein. In einigen MacBooks können sich Festplatte und RAM relativ leicht lockern (bei derartigen physischen Einwirkungen).
