Macbook Air 2012 überhitzt und stürzt ab

Hallo,

ich habe neulich mal per Steam ein paar Spiele (und auch gar nicht mal so grafikintensive) auf meinem Macbook Air 2012 installiert. Ich weiß natürlich dass das keine Gaming Maschine ist, aber ab und an eine kleine Partie sollte ja drin sein, würde man meinen.
Nun wird der Laptop nur extrem heiß wenn ich ein Spiel starte, oft auch bereits nach sehr kurzer Zeit - Temperaturen der CPU gehen dann zügig auf 95° und höher. Wenn die Temperaturen dann so hoch sind stürzt das MBA ab, der Bildschirm wird schwarz und es geht einfach aus. Es stockt oder ruckelt auch gar nicht mal so sehr eigentlich vorher! Um es dann wieder starten zu können muss ich erst den Netzstecker einmal kurz ziehen, sonst startet es nicht mehr...
Die Konsole spuckt dann folgende Fehlermeldung zum Shutdown aus:

Die Temperaturen habe ich mit TG Pro ausgelesen. Sonst läuft das MBA eigentlich problemlos, die Abstürze treten auch nur beim Spielen auf.

Hat da jemand eine Idee an was das liegen könnte und wie man es ggf. beheben könnte?

Beheben wird schwierig. Bei Intelprozessoren setzt bei 95+ so langsam die Drosselung ein, was man natürlich merkt weil die Leistung merklich nachlässt. Das kann der Grund für das Stocken und Ruckeln sein, zumindest wird es aber stärker ausfallen, auch wenn du dein MacBook vielleicht prinzipiell überforderst. Zum zocken sind die halt nichts.

Jetzt gibt es da zwei Möglichkeiten

- Apple hat die Kühlung nicht ausreichend Dimensioniert um so eine hohe Last lange kühlen zu können. Damit wären sie nicht alleine weil Beispielsweise auch ein Surface Pro 3 von Microsoft unter Volllast in die Drossel rennt. Ob das bei deinem 2012 der Fall ist kann ich nicht sagen, da ich davon keine Ahnung habe.

- Die Kühlung ist ausreichend dimensioniert aber bei dir stimmt was nicht. Angegammelte Wärmeleitpaste (die wird mit der Zeit hart und brüchig), beschädigte Lüfter, verstopfte/verstaubte Luftkanäle usw.

Theoretisch könnte es auch sein, dass die Lüftersteuerung nicht richtig arbeitet. Das ist aber eigentlich unwahrscheinlich.

An einer unterdimensionierten Kühlung macht man nichts, bei letzterem hilft natürlich ein Werkstattbesuch.

Schon mal danke für die Antwort.
@Lerendy: Stocken oder Ruckeln tut da ja eben nix, der Computer geht einfach aus. Im Anschluss kann ich ihn auch erst zum Booten bewegen wenn ich einmal kurz den Netzstecker ziehe.

Mhm. Also eigentlich hängt das MBA beim Spielen immer am Stecker. Meint ihr das Netzteil könnte defekt sein?

Für mich stellt sich zuerst die Frage, ob der Rechner den zum Zeitpunkt des schwarzen Schirms überhaupt aus ist und nicht erst aus geht, wenn du den Stecker ziehst.
Gibt es denn vorher Meldungen im log?

Das war der Titel des Testlaufes, hab ich selbst eingegeben
Auch dass ein MBA nicht zum Spielen gedacht ist, ist mir schon klar. Nur würde ich dann einfach eine schlechte Leistung erwarten, Ruckeln, Stottern und co wären ja annehmbar für mich. Aber dass der Computer einfach abstürzt kann ja nicht normal sein.

Die SSD ist nachgerüstet, deshalb der Trim-Enabler. Das Überhitzen + Abstürzen gabs aber auch schon vor dieser Installation

Bisher tatsächlich noch nicht, alles wichtige auf dem Laptop ist aber entweder per Dropbox in der Cloud oder nochmal auf meinem iMac gespeichert.

Es kann sein, dass Flash mit diese Probleme verursacht, aber muss nicht zwingend so sein.

Ich rate lediglich aufgrund von Sicherheit und Stabilität des Systems darauf hin. [emoji57]

Persönlich traue ich ja keinem Drittanbieter zu, dass er die Lüftersteuerung besser hinbekommt als Apple selbst. Ich würde daher mal diesen TGFanHelper gemäß Herstelleranleitung deinstallieren, den SMC resetten und dann noch mal testen.

Genauso wenig traue ich irgendwelchen Cleaner-Tools. Und das gehört zum Funktionsumfang von Disk Sensei. Wer weiß, vielleicht hat er dir irgendwas weg-ge-cleant, das noch gebraucht würde?

In einem solchen Fall kann es helfen das entsprechende Combo-Update noch mal über das bestehende System drüber zu bügeln.

Zu guter letzt würde ich zumindest zu Testzwecken mal den Karios DuetDisplay-Driver (gemäß Herstelleranleitung) deinstallieren. Wenn's daran nicht lag, kannst du es ja wieder drauf packen.

Abgesehen davon hat deine Creative Cloud anscheinend ein Problem.

Die Cleaning Funktion von Disk Sensei hatte ich gar nicht beachtet und nicht benutzt, nur fürs Trim einmal aktiviert.
Auch TG Pro hab ich nur zur Auslese der Temperaturen genutzt, die Lüftersteuerung selbst läuft unverändert.
SMC Reset hab ich auch schon ausprobiert, leider ohne Erfolg.
Das mit Duet Display ist nochmal eine Idee, das werd ich mal ausprobieren! Wenn das keine Besserung bringt, werd ich mal den Rest löschen. Kann man im Fall der Fälle alles auch entspannt wieder installieren.
