Mac Mini M1 extrem langsam

Hallo zusammen,

gestern wurde mein Mac Mini M1 geliefert. Es ist die Variante mit 8GB RAM und 256GB Speicherplatz. Es ist mein erster Mac, hatte mich durch Berichte und Videos im Vorfeld über das Gerät informiert.

Ich muss sagen, der erste Eindruck ist erschreckend! Alles sehr langsam und träge, das Starten von z.B. Chrome dauert sehr lang. Laut Info ist das WLAN mit 86MBit verbunden, jede Webseite braucht aber ewig zum Laden. Welche Bremse muss ich da evtl. lösen? Stand jetzt geht das Ding so wieder zurück zum Händler.

Was hast du denn sonst installiert? Vielleicht gibt es eine Inkompatibilität oder einen Defekt. Für mich klingt das jedenfalls nicht normal.

Das ist es ja: nur den Chrome-Browser hatte ich bisher installiert. Vom ersten Einschalten an war das Ding so langsam.

EtreCheck ist ein Tool, welches du dir Runterladen kannst und in dem Log stehen einige Dinge die hilfreich seinen können um zu sehen warum er Langsam ist. Wenn du diesen Log postet bitte als Code hier (ist unter den "..." zu finden dann.

Wenn er in den erweiterten WLAN-Einstellungen anzeigt, dass er mit 86MBit verbunden ist, dann kann ich auch davon ausgehen, dass das so ist? Er zeigt auch einen Wert an bzgl. Störung oder sowas (in den WLAN-Einstellungen), da pendelt er zwischen 65-70db.

Oder ist auch das starten des Macs langsam oder das Starten von Programmen?

Also doch nicht nur Chrome installiert. War der Rechner vor der Installation dieser "Sicherheits"tools auch schon lahm?

Ansonsten kommt auch Chrome selbst in Frage. Ich habe von einigen Leuten gelesen, dass es den Rechner ausbremsen kann. Aber ob das wirklich ein Problem ist, weiß ich nicht.

Die Software ist nur bis macOS Catalina freigegeben. Keine Unterstützung für Big Sur geschweige denn für M1. Denke mit dieser Software haben wir das Problem schon gefunden.

Mit Big Sur hat sich einiges in Sachen Netzverbindung unter der Haube geändert. Eine inkompatible FW kann da vermutlich schon sehr stören.

Ok, ich würde das System dann gerne einmal neu aufsetzen. Habe mir auch schon einen Big Sur Installations-Stick erstellt. Allerdings schaffe ich es nicht, dass er beim Booten die Medien anzeigt. Ich habe aktuell noch eine Logitech Funk-Tastatur angeschlossen und halte beim Booten die ALT-Taste gedrückt. Aber er startet immer direkt ins System und bietet mir nicht die Möglichkeit an vom Stick zu starten. Hat da jemand einen Tipp für mich?

Mein Start in die Mac-Welt gestaltet sich leider schwierig. Vom Stick gestartet, Neuinstallation ausgewählt, er hat jetzt ca. 30 Minuten gemacht und das System ist auf dem gleichen Stand wie vorher, also keine Neuinstallation wie gewünscht. Was habe ich denn da wieder übersehen?
