Ganz neuer iMac sehr sehr langsam - stürzt ab

Hi zusammen,

ich habe gerade einen ganz neuen iMac gekauft und ca 4 programme installiert:
Photoshop
Lightroom
Capture One
FreefileSync

Ich war damit letzte Woche auf einem Foto-Job und der Rechner ist mit einem Router per WLAN verbunden, der allerdings keinen Zugang zum Internet hatte. Wir benötigten dies nur um Bilder innerhalb des Studios zu verschicken, also eher ein Intranet.

Der Rechner war super langsam. Wenn ich Programme öffnen wollte, dauerte dies teilweise 2 Minuten, oder ich hatte den drehenden Ball und das Programm reagierte nicht mehr.
Ich habe auch mal ein neune Benutzer angelegt, aber genau die selben Probleme. installiert ist 10.15.7

Ich hatte bereits schon mal ein Montags-Model vor Jahren von Apple (Mac-Book pro)erwischt, daher würde ich ungerne nochmals so eine Gurke kaufen und ihn noch schnell zurückgeben.

Habt ihr damit Erfahrungen? Kann es sein dass der Rechner ab und zu Internetverbindung benötigt um rund zu laufen?
Ich hatte den Eindruck dass es sich verbesserte nachdem wir einmal im I-Netz waren, aber irgendwie ist das doch absurd, oder?


Ich bin über jeden Hinweis dankbar.

Ich habe den selben Effekt gelegentlich hier an mehreren Macs auch.

sehr guter Punkt. Also lieber Kabel abziehen oder die Netzwerkverbindung deaktivieren

Ob alles funktioniert mit internet müsste ich nochmal überprüfen.
da ich auch schonmal Erfahrungen gemacht habe mit "Sicherheitsprüfung" von Programmen und auch mit Überprüfung von Lizenzen, hatte ich schon vorbeugend den Rechner mehrere Tage vor dem Job ans Internet angeschlossen um das zu vermeiden....

Die Lizenzprüfung kann da natürlich auch alternativ oder zusätzlich reinspielen.

Vielleicht kann man das verhindern, indem man die Programme komplett ohne Netz startet und danach die Verbindung herstellt.

Jetzt läuft er gerade sehr gut, ich bin aber auch mit dem Netz verbunden. Ich versuche es später nochmal ohne Netz.

Wegen Deiner Frage fällt mir noch neben dem sehr guten Hinweis von @ottomane auf, dass photoanalysisd relativ viel CPU "frisst". Das ist glaube ich die Gesichtserkennung, die bei sehr großen Foto-Bibliotheken (Fotos.app) einige Tage brauchen kann mit dieser Auslastung. Aber einfach machen lassen, wenn alles klappt, sollte das nach einiger Zeit fertig sein und zurückgehen.
